As a former resident of 97 st between park and madison who now
lives in vermont, I must say I find
your interest in fashion to be Quaint! That is an old fashioned word to politely describe something that is passe'. I speak
only culinary french, that is, the language of the kitchen. My favorite job in ny was gerard
pangauds "aurora"... just west of
that big fancy hotel on park...
cant even remember its name!
the 21 club was an excellent place to work and i enjoyed the rainbow room also...being on the
upper floors to work with great windows was quite an experience.
glad i left ny before the horror.
My daughter was born there, I had
opened isabellas by the nat history museum as pastry chef/baker. Now shes home from her first semester at college.
The reason I was attracted to your blog was that when sarah was young our favorite was drawing 'fashions'; shes quite an artist and fashion was the tool we
used to encourage her talent. Of
course now since the reagan gang
resumed power and began subverting
our constitution along with all those fake democrats (read clintons) we all have been consumed
by the documentation of americas
sad spiral down the tubes of history.
You remind me that I miss NYC
and we missed our annual trip to zabars and fairway this fall.
c'est la vie....sure do miss those
excellent foods.
John and Stephen are back...
thank the tv gods....
Greetings from Vermont,christopher

ps I forgot to mention, the french
were treated very badly in the aftermath of that saudi funded, bush abetted 'terrorist' attack
and they certainly did not deserve anything but credit. Vive la france, liberte, equality, fraternity. Also gerard pangaud
(the last pangaud in paris) last i knew was in washington dc a few blocks from the capital.

Dear Christopher,
thank you for your comment. I do indeed know what Quaint means, funny you say that since I work in fashion!! I guess it can be so passe for some people as it is a never-ending cycle (can be boring for some and totally addictive for others).
So how is the food in Vermont?
Glad you support the French, we are an awesome (as Americans often say that word) nation, with great architecture, culture, food... And ... Fashion!! :)
Needless to say I miss it just the way you miss NY.
